Kate Walker is a partner at McGrath│Power Public Relations, a 30-year old Silicon Valley-based technology communications agency. She has a passion for great stories and has spent her career helping people to find and tell their own compelling stories to audiences ranging from general consumers to technical developers. At M│P, Kate develops and provides hands-on daily management of a diverse client base ranging from telepresence technologies and solid-state drives to software-defined networking and consumer electronics interoperability standards. Her clients have included ADT Residential Security, Cisco, DLNA, EarthLink, McAfee, Mohr Davidow Ventures, RSA Security and the Open Networking Foundation. She has also helped countless start-ups reach their acquisition and growth goals. In addition to her work at M│P, Kate has also held PR leadership roles at Internet Security Systems (now IBM) and Borland Software Corporation (now Micro Focus), where she is credited with the elevation of their brands in the marketplace and creation of their global PR infrastructure. Kate is a native Rhode Islander. She makes her home in Warwick with her husband and two children.
